My Story

I'm Kirsten and the thread that's woven through my career pursuits for the last 15 years is my desire to do better for our natural ecosystems and the people living in them. My journey started over a decade ago with the soil, water, and air in my environmental engineering degree at Harvard and most recently took me to a quickly growing startup, where I was in a leadership role driving forward the sustainability and impact roadmap.

The path between those two points is reflective of my appreciation for systems. I completed my food systems focused PhD at the University of Cambridge, and since the start of that endeavor, I've been collecting experiences that span the supply chain, from food growers to distributors to foodservice to consumers and health.

I am now getting drawn back to the soil, both literally and figuratively. Improving the soil (a.k.a., soil regeneration) is a powerful climate change solution, and it's also a beautiful and useful metaphor for improving processes and ourselves as leaders. What does soil regeneration mean in the context of your projects and your organization? What does soil regeneration mean for you as an individual? These are the sorts of questions that I love to help answer.
